Anthology Announcement: Foundation edited by Shawn Speakman

Hi Everyone,

I am proud to announce more details about Foundation, a new SF&F anthology publishing in partnership with the Noah Lee Legacy Foundation.

Some history is needed to understand why I deem this the most important thing I'll do this year. First, I've had two different cancers in my life and, both times, people came to my aid when I needed it most. Two, in 2024, my assistant Grace lost one of her sons to neuroblastoma, a childhood cancer. And three, due to my own history and the fact that I have two young sons, I joined the Noah Lee Legacy Foundation board to bring my experience and skill-sets for its important cause.

Here is the Noah Lee Legacy Foundation mission: When a child is diagnosed with cancer, families shouldn't have to choose between being together and accessing the best care. Inspired by Noah's spirit, the Noah Lee Legacy Foundation helps ease the financial burden of travel and lodging for families who must leave home for treatment.

I decided early on that I could help with that mission. And not only could I help, but Grim Oak Press could help too.

We are a proud sponsor for the Noah Lee Legacy Foundation Duck Dash, a 5K run that happens tomorrow. Furthermore, the NLLF board members agreed to let me create and edit a new anthology, Foundation, to help raise money for Grace's charity. All profits from the anthology go directly to the foundation.

There will be three different editions of Foundation up for pre-order on the Noah Lee Legacy Foundation website:
