A few people have asked why we are producing a second printing. In short, we have received many emails over the last few years with the request. The emailing SF&F reader always mentions they'd like to own all three Riftwar trilogy books but won't buy Silverthorn or A Darkness at Sethanon without Magician. "Can you please do another printing of Magician?" is what they ask.
I felt a good balance in doing this was having the second printing not be numbered. In this way, those who own the first printing of Magician still have something unique and coveted, while those buying the second printing get to fulfill their trilogy.
Also, in my opinion, Magician is a wonderful stand-alone novel. And having it available to more fantasy readers is a bonus for Ray and his readers.
