Hi Grim Oakers,
Another day, another blog post! I'm on a roll!
This news will be short though. I have received in copies of Song of the Fell Hammer, the first book I wrote. It is a massive 260,000-word first novel of an epic fantasy trilogy, one I hope to return to one day soon. People have asked for a hardcover of Song of the Fell Hammer for years and years. And for years and years I said no. It was a trunk book, a first effort, unfit for eyes. But that changed when my son Kael was born. Mostly because readers seem to love the ebook I posted... and I needed money from physical copy sales to pay Kael's birth medical bills insurance wouldn't cover. Ha!
Todd Lockwood contributed the beautiful artwork. He will be signing with me later this week. And then I'll start shipping out copies early next week. You can read more about my journey with Song of the Fell Hammer and how Terry and Judine Brooks put me on the path of writing fantasy HERE.
Here are some photos of Song of the Fell Hammer:
For this post, I also felt like including a Marc Simonetti painting from the forthcoming The Scions of Shannara special editions. I received the image a few days ago and I'm in love with it. Hope you are too! It will be on my wall soon. If you want to order your double-signed special edition of The Scions of Shannara, click HERE. We are matching numbers to our edition of First King of Shannara.
More news tomorrow! Stay tuned!
With Magic,
