I'm excited to announce that we have acquired sub-rights for beautiful new editions of The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune.
This has been one of my favorite books of the last few years. It's beautifully written with a powerful story about family and love and the validity of being different. If you haven't read it, I highly recommend it. It's one of those books that Terry Brooks finished reading and immediately called me. Terry's daughter Amanda did the same exact thing. That says it all, in my opinion.
TJ has been wonderful to work with so far. We've been brainstorming ideas for design and artwork. During our discussions, he really intrigued me with his ideas about interior artwork. I was thinking art that's really colorful due to the nature of the characters. He was thinking Edward Gorey that's black and white with splashes of color.
Honestly, I'm paralyzed when it comes to this. Ultimately though, we want the same thing: a limited edition you love!
