Pre-Order Now: Daughter of the Empire by Raymond E. Feist & Janny Wurts

Grim Oak Press is pleased to announce the pre-order period for Daughter of the Empire, double-signed by Raymond E. Feist and Janny Wurts!

This is an exciting book for us. Like many of you, I've been an ardent fan of Magician, Silverthorn, and A Darkness at Sethanon for decades. But when I finished that trilogy, no more Riftwar books existed at that time. The next book published by Raymond E. Feist would be Daughter of the Empire, a story he co-authored with Janny Wurts, the first novel in a new trilogy that captured the story, characters, politics, and conflict on the other side of the Rift.

I devoured the Empire trilogy as they were published, a great companion saga to the Riftwar books. And as I've grown older, they've become one of my favorite trilogies of all time. It has the magic of the Riftwar books, the politics of A Game of Thrones by George R. R. Martin, and the worldbuilding seen in Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn by Tad Williams.

When we decided to produce limited and beautiful editions of Magician and its two sequels, I knew we'd have to do the Empire books too.

That time is now. With Magician mostly finished and heading toward the printer any day, it is time to announce Daughter of the Empire. Janny Wurts will be delivering finished artwork in June. And we hope to have all files prepared and ready for the printer in early July.

Those who hold the Lettered Edition of Magician have first right of refusal for the Lettered Edition of Daughter of the Empire. They have thirty (30) days to buy their copy and we've already notified them of this. If they choose not to, then we will place the remaining Lettered Editions up for order on the website.

The Limited Edition is up for pre-order now! It is $100 and it will be double-signed by Raymond E. Feist and Janny Wurts. The normal trappings will be used here: fine materials, ribbon, leather, new interior artwork by Janny, etc. If you like to house your limited editions in slipcases, order the slipcase for Daughter at the same time to save on shipping.

Looking forward to returning to Kelewan with you!
