Uprooted is an amazing novel and, when Naomi and Del Rey Books published it, we all wondered what she would do next. Would she write a sequel? Would she write another Temeraire novel? Would she write something entirely different?
None of that came to be pass—because she wrote Spinning Silver.
Spinning Silver is a beautifully-written novel, just like Uprooted. It is not a direct sequel to that latter book but its tone strikes the very same chords. Wonderful characters. A fairy tale atmosphere. Conflict. This time with multiple points of view. It has it all. It's no wonder Spinning Silver was nominated for a Nebula Award and is now nominated for a Hugo Award!
We at Grim Oak Press are super excited about publishing limited and lettered editions of Spinning Silver. We will do our very best to match it up with our special editions of Uprooted. When we produced Uprooted, we knew we would do some extra cool things with that book. We are doing them again for Spinning Silver! Donato will only be doing 10 interior illustrations this time though but he'll be using a super cool new technique to bring the characters to life!
