Hi Grim Oak Friends,
Today is a special! Because it is the official release day for the trade hardcover and ebook editions of Wizard of the Pigeons by Megan Lindholm!
I can't relate to you how special this book is. It is an urban fantasy set in Seattle about a homeless wizard who protects those living in the city. He has no memory of his life before living on the streets but we know he is a veteran. And when a dark entity from his past comes to destroy the city he loves, Wizard must come to terms with that past to save the future.
It's a powerful story. But beyond that, it is fantastically written, an early effort before Megan became bestselling author Robin Hobb. Anyone who loves Butcher's Dresden Files or Briggs's Mercy Thompson or Harris's Southern Vampire Mysteries, or even Brooks's Word/Void series will love Wizard of the Pigeons. Our edition features four full-color interior illustrations by Tommy Arnold, an embossed and foiled cover, and high-end paper and binding.
The hardcover may be in bookstores now, although there was a slight delay with the books arriving to the book distributor from the printer. Expect that just in case and call ahead to reserve your copy.
The ebook is live today though for sure! Here are some links for both hardcover and ebook:
This is a great book for SF&F readers like you. It is a great gift book. It is just great all around. Grim Oak Press will be shipping its special editions soon. And The Signed Page will be having Megan stop by to sign copies too as soon as copies arrive to the warehouse!
Thank you for supporting Grim Oak and our books. We love doing this job and love that you follow us. And we hope to have some HUGE news to announce soon. Stay tuned!
Best Holiday Wishes,
