Wow, that Digger Kickstarter is doing well, isn't it? Thanks for helping us bring this important book back into print. We couldn't do it without you.
First, I want to share that we have two Subterranean Press books on-hand that will be available for sale on Tuesday, June 14, at 11AM PT. The books are:
- A Master of Djinn by P. Djèlà Clark (8 copies)
- A Memory Called Empire by Arkady Martine (23 copies)
If you click the links, you can read more about them on the Sub Press website. This will not be a lottery situation. The first to buy, the first to own. Be ready. Be fast. They will be featured on the front page of our website when Tuesday comes along. These won't last long as they are both sold out from Sub Press.
On to Project Updates:
Becky has finished shipping out Prince of Thorns by Mark Lawrence and The Warded Man by Peter V. Brett. She has begun shipping A Darkness at Sethanon Raymond E. Feist. She is trying to get all copies out before her family takes their summer vacation at the end of the month.
We received word from our bindery that we should have the finished Lettered Edition copies of The Warded Man by mid-July. They will ship then. We will have a handful of Limited Editions and slipcases too that will be placed on the store to be fair to everyone who has asked for them, and we will announce that date and time once we reach July. Stay tuned.
As of right now, once A Darkness at Sethanon is shipped, the plan is to start shipping Tailchaser’s Song by Tad Williams directly after The Warded Man Lettered Editions copies ship. So July.
The printer has finished their work on The Dragonbone Chair by Tad Williams. The bindery is working on getting us a completion date. We will update you about that when we know the details.
And in others news:
We have acquired the rights to Malice by John Gwynne. Artist Marcus Whinney -- who has done the cover art on the last two published Gwynne books -- will be painting the new cover. We will be producing all four books.
Artist Daniel Gosar is currently painting the wrap around cover for In His Majesty's Service by Naomi Novik. Then he will begin work on the interiors. More on this soon.
The signature pages for Unfettered III have been completed! We are full speed ahead with the printer and bindery, getting quotes to get this project finally placed into their queues. When we know more, we will share it.
We are currently getting the dust jacket measured for Found Worlds by Todd Lockwood. Once we have the dust jacket template to fit the book, we will get the new dust jackets printed, placed on the books, and mailed out. Still at least two months away probably but much closer now that we have finished books.
Artist Allen Morris is hard at work on the art for the remaining Belgariad books by David Eddings. These will take some time. More news later this summer.
Artist Allen Williams will begin art duties on The Desert Spear by Peter V. Brett soon. He's going to paint all of the interiors this time and hopes to deliver art by the end of September.
Artist Chris McGrath has been delayed on art duties for Fool Moon and Grave Peril by Jim Butcher, which he hopes to do at the same time. He hopes to begin work later this summer.
Art has begun on Dragonquest by Anne McCaffrey. Early stages on this one.
Art continues on Dead Until Dark by Charlaine Harris.
Art will begin soon for Moon Called by Patricia Briggs.
