Grim Oak Press is excited to launch its next crowdfunding project: The Dark Thorn Preferred Edition by Shawn Speakman.

A little backstory matters. When The Dark Thorn originally published, it was not professionally edited. Given that its sequel, The Everwinter Wraith, will be edited by former Del Rey Books editor in chief Betsy Mitchell, Speakman decided to hire her to improve The Dark Thorn and its continuity of language and grammar. This will be the best way to read the fantasy novel, especially before The Everwinter Wraith publishes. It will also feature new cover artwork, a new map of Annwn, and interior illustrations.
