Hi Grim Oakers,
This is the week, Patrick Rothfuss fans!
Because this Wednesday, February 7th at 2PM ET / 11AM PT, our four special editions of The Name of the Wind will be available for pre-order.
When we announced this project last year, we were inundated with questions. We knew that would happen. Since that time, we have worked hard to gather these questions and answer them in our The Name of the Wind FAQ. But we still received questions like, "What are these editions going to look like?" and "Will you post details about each so I can choose which edition is best for me?"
That day is today. We have done the best job we can—without actual copies in hand—to present what design, materials, interiors, foiling, etc. will be in/on each edition. Please read the descriptions in full because a lot of questions may be answered by reading to each page's end.
Also, the product pages are a very close approximation of what we are planning. Marc Simonetti is still painting a dust jacket cover, two new interiors, a signature page, and is updating art, and Nate Taylor is still illustrating design elements for the dust jackets, boards, slipcases, and clamshells (example: the dust jacket artwork on the B&W edition is only a painted sketch of what Marc is working on right now).
Here are direct links to each product:
- $150 The Name of the Wind B&W Limited Edition
- $300 The Name of the Wind Full-Color Limited Edition
- $750 The Name of the Wind Lettered Edition
- $1500 The Name of the Wind Rare Edition
- $3000 The Name of the Wind Collector's Bundle
And finally, three changes of note for the FAQ: We have decided to limit the Rare edition to 100 copies, only 1 Rare Edition per customer, and the B&W Limited Edition will have a full-color signature page.
See you in two days!
With Magic,
Shawn Speakman
