In 2024 Grim Oak Press exhibited at Dragonsteel Nexus, Brandon Sanderson's convention in Salt Lake City, UT, where the award-winning publisher released Grimoire, an anthology containing short stories by attending authors. Robin Hobb, Fonda Lee, Michael J. Sullivan, Jason Denzel and others shared tales of magic, dragons, and superheroes.

Due to reader demand, the second Grimoire will publish at Emerald City Comic Con 2025 in Seattle, WA, creating a new anthology of stories sure to delight. Read a deadly chess game between a demon and a mage observed by Terry Brooks. Fall in love with a lovelorn girl and her automaton dolls with Cassandra Clare. Discover how a woman feeds neighborhood birds seen by Megan Lindholm. Question: What about other authors attending? Why aren't they included?

Answer: At the time of delivering Grimoire 2 to the printer to ensure copies arrive in time for the March 2025 convention, ECCC had not posted the names of authors attending. It is difficult to invite people to an anthology if we don't know they will be there.

Question: I'm not able to attend Emerald City Comic Con 2025 but I want Grimoire. How can I get a copy?

Answer: The Grim Oak Press warehouse will be shipped copies for exactly this reason. Pre-order your copy now from this page by selecting SHIP TO ME and have it mailed after Emerald City Comic Con 2025. These will only be signed by Terry Brooks, Matt Dinniman, Shawn Speakman, Robin Hobb, and Kat Ogden.

Question: Are you planning on doing other Grimoire anthologies at future conventions that Grim Oak Press will exhibit at, like Seattle Worldcon 2025?

Answer: Yes. There's just something special about a multi-signed book and these sorts of anthologies will help pay for Grim Oak Press to exhibit at other conventions. We will be at Seattle Worldcon 2025 for sure.
