The origins of Grim Oak Press begin with Terry Brooks. When his webmaster Shawn Speakman was twelve years old, he read The Sword of Shannara, cementing his love of fantasy and prompting him to one day own a leather-bound library mimicking the Druid Histories at Paranor.

Decades later, Shawn Speakman continues to build that dream. Grim Oak Press has published numerous special editions of Terry Brooks' work—from trade hardcovers to limited and lettered double-signed volumes.
